Keith Olbermann

This arrogant blowhole has no clue what he is talking about. I've been to at least a dozen tea parties and have yet to see anyone who even appears to be racist. I've also seen Hispanics and blacks at tea parties despite liberals trying to scare them into not going. Democrats can't win on the issues so they resort to personal attacks and Keith Koolaid Olbermann is the master of personal attacks.

NO EARMARKS!

Next week, Senate Republicans will meet privately to elect their leaders and to consider changes to their conference rules. This is incredibly important and could determine whether or not they were serious about their campaign promises to reduce spending and the size of government.

Sen. Jim DeMint is introducing an amendment to ban all Republican earmarks in the Senate for the 112th Congress in their closed door caucus meetings next week. Rep. Boehner will be introducing a similar amendment in the House. Sen. DeMint and Sen. Cornyn will also submit an amendment making it the policy for the Republican conference support constitutional amendment that forces Congress to balance the budget without raising taxes.

The Senate earmark ban has been co-sponsored by Senators Tom Coburn (OK), John Ensign (NV), Mike Enzi (WY), and John Cornyn (TX) along with Senators-elect Pat Toomey (PA), Marco Rubio (FL), Rand Paul (KY), Mike Lee (UT), Ron Johnson (WI), and Kelly Ayotte (NH).

Sen. DeMint states, "If adopted, the GOP earmark ban will represent a very important step toward getting our fiscal house in order. While the cost of earmarks is not large compared to the entire budget, they are used to pressure senators into supporting budget-busting spending bills that have buried our nation under a mountain of debt. As you know, many Republicans are still addicted to earmarks and won't give them up without a fight. I know it's difficult to quit this habit because I used to request earmarks too. But once senators give them up, they're free to fight against excessive spending without fear of retaliation. It's time for Republicans to lead by example on this issue so we can effectively stand together as a party against excessive spending."

The Bad News

There are already a group of Republican lawmakers that are trying to fight against this ban. Read about it here. The Senators that are going to vote against Sen. DeMint's amendment need to be reminded about the message that was sent to them just last week. Americans are tired of these games and the way that earmarks breed corruption and favor-trading.

We need to call these Senators that are thinking of voting no on Sen. DeMint's amendment. Their numbers are listed below, so go ahead and melt their phone lines and let them know that the Tea Party Patriots didn't disappear just because the elections are over.

**Important**

The reason that these Senators are saying they will vote no on the amendment is because earmarks are such a tiny portion of federal spending that the effort to ban them is meaningless, especially when compared to reforming entitlements and cutting spending for other federal programs. This is true in the sense that compared to all the other trillions of dollars that politicians are spending, the spending on earmarks seems inconsequential. Make sure you let them know you fully understand the numbers, but that regardless of the comparative size, it is still important. It shows that they were serious and honest in their campaign promises. As Marco Rubio said, the Republicans were given a second chance and this is their first test. We want an end to earmarks AND spending cuts AND entitlement reform.

First call your own Senator if he or she is a Republican to find out how they are voting and then call this list. Be polite, but firm. Some of these Senators have been with us on other issues, but on this issue we need to remind them that they work for the people, and the people spoke last Tuesday: No more wasteful spending.

Proud to be American!

My great grandfather watched as his friends died in the Civil War, my father watched as his friends died in WW II, and I watched as my friends died in Vietnam.

None of them died for the Mexican Flag.

Everyone died for the U.S. flag.

Just this week, here  in Texas, a student raised a Mexican flag on a school flag pole; another student took it down.  Guess who was expelled...the kid who took it down.

Kids in high school in California were sent home this week on Cinco de Mayo because they wore T-shirts with the American flag printed on them.

Enough is enough.

The below e-mail message needs to be viewed by every American; and every American needs to stand up for America.

We've bent over to appease the America-haters long enough.

I'm taking a stand.

I'm standing up because the hundreds of thousands who died fighting in wars for this country, and for the U.S. flag can't stand up.

And shame on anyone who tries to make this a racist message.

Democrats have been in charge almost 4 years.

Democrats have been in control for almost 4 years and they still blame Republicans for the mess we are in now. The liberal media has also ignored this fact. It would be good for any Republican running in 2010 to point out that it was the Democrats that were driving when we went into the ditch and not the other way around. The Democrats not only put us in the ditch but they are still driving us deeper and we will soon be in China!

Blaming Bush

By Dell Hill
Isn’t about time?  I mean, really!
Democrats thrived on dumping blame on to President Bush for virtually everything that is wrong in the entire world and now that President Barack Obama has inhabited the White House for nearly two years, they’re finally coming to the realization that blaming Bush 43 has outlived its usefulness.  It’s time to find another target, otherwise they’ll have to assume responsibility for the actions of a Democrat controlled House and Senate for the past four years.
The very last thing they want American voters to understand is the fact that it was the “We’re in charge now” crowd, led by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi that has called virtually every shot for the last two years of Bush’s second term and the first two years of Obama’s presidency.  If you should suddenly realize that it was Democrats doing all that spending and that it was Democrats who refused to recognize the pending meltdown of the housing market, and it was Democrats…..Well, you get the picture.
Brent Baker outlines the Dems political target deficiency in this posting at NewsBusters:
“It will be “very difficult for Democrats to demonize” George W. Bush “again” during this campaign season, liberal nationally syndicated columnist Mark Shields despaired on Friday’s Inside Washington, because he’s “a circumspect and discreet former President.” Quite unlike, he didn’t say, the often boorish Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter.
Reacting to Vice President Joe Biden’s indictment of the supposed disastrous results from the Bush administration’s economic policies, Shields fretted:
The problem for the Democrats is this, that the energizer bunny for the 2006, 2008 campaigns has disappeared because of George W. Bush’s being a circumspect and discreet former President it makes it very difficult for Democrats to demonize him again.  He’s become a non-person.  He shows up at a ball game once in a while, he greets soldiers coming back.  He hasn’t said anything controversial and that makes it a tougher fight for Joe Biden to make.
Charles Krauthammer is a regular on the weekly program, so I’ll use that as a hook to highlight his latest column, “The last refuge of a liberal,” which includes this well-framed observation:
Promiscuous charges of bigotry are precisely how our current rulers and their vast media auxiliary react to an obstreperous citizenry that insists on incorrect thinking.
Krauthammer elaborated:
– Resistance to the vast expansion of government power, intrusiveness and debt, as represented by the Tea Party movement? Why, racist resentment toward a black president.
– Disgust and alarm with the federal government’s unwillingness to curb illegal immigration, as crystallized in the Arizona law? Nativism.
– Opposition to the most radical redefinition of marriage in human history, as expressed in Proposition 8 in California?  Homophobia.
– Opposition to a 15-story Islamic center and mosque near Ground Zero?  Islamophobia.
Another great formulation, about how those tricky Tea Party activists weren’t clever enough to fool the liberal media:
When the Tea Party arose, a spontaneous, leaderless and perfectly natural (and traditionally American) reaction to the vast expansion of government intrinsic to the president’s proudly proclaimed transformational agenda, the liberal commentariat cast it as a mob of angry white yahoos disguising their antipathy to a black president by cleverly speaking in economic terms.
(Inside Washington is a weekly show produced by ABC’s Washington, DC affiliate, which airs it Sunday morning after it runs Friday night on DC’s PBS affiliate, WETA-TV channel 26, and Saturday on local cable’s TBD TV.)”
As it now appears, Charles Krauthammer has become the voice of reason for the Conservative cause and anyone brave enough to sit on a live TV panel with him is risking total humiliation when it’s his turn to speak.  We think quite highly of Mr. Krauthammer at Uncoverage.net

Flip the house!

Throw them all out. Tea parties are not anti government. They recognize that the problem is not with the government. The problem is with the people who are running our government. The current administration is trying to change our government into something that is drastically different and un-American. The current administration supports and defends people who are anti-American and are so anti government that they will do anything they have to in order to change our government to suit their needs. We need to throw out every incumbent in order to weed out all of the corrupt and self serving politicians who are dragging us down the wrong road.

Just play music

A little political advice to musicians. Just play music! When a musician stops in the middle of a concert to talk about their political views it's very annoying. I go to a concert to hear music. What if actors stopped in the middle of a movie and started talking about their political views. They would probably be stuck doing documentaries for Michael Moore. I suppose if it's that important to them to run their mouth about how we in the real world should live they could just write a song about it.

Arizona Immigration Law

Only in America could people in the country illegally, protest and riot without being arrested. When the head of Homeland Security was asked if our border was secure she said "That's not a fair question." Not only is that a fair question but it's something she should ask herself every day. Two of the craziest people on earth, Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton are fueling violence by going to Arizona. Arizona and the whole country need to stand up to these hate mongers who claim racism at the drop of a hat. I may be a little crazy but protecting current citizens should be a much higher priority.

Health Care Mess

Health care companies and insurance companies will benefit tremendously from the passing of the health care bill. It's ironic that whatever the Democrats say will happen you can expect the opposite. They claim to take on big insurance but I guess what they meant was that they would help them make more money. They said health insurance premiums would go down but I just found out I will be paying more and jobs where I work are being cut. So what happened to the 3000% drop in premiums and the increase in jobs that Barack Obama promised.

Happy Tax Day

The taxes I pay continue to rise. The government lowers one tax and raises 50 other taxes and then tries to tell me they gave me a tax break. It's time to send the tax and spend liberals packing. They've controlled congress for almost 4 years and look where we are.

Protesting military funerals

Protesting at military funerals is tasteless and despicable but it's also a tribute to fallen soldiers who died fighting for freedom making it possible for people to exercise their right to free speech.

Campaign Finance Reform

Campaign finance reform is a waste of time. There is no way to control who gives money to who. If people can't give money directly they will find a way to do it indirectly.

The percentage of each past president’s cabinet who had worked in the private business sector prior to their appointment to the cabinet. You know what the private business sector is… a real life business, not a government job.

Here are the percentages

Liberals haven't figured out that business is what drives our economy so it helps to have people around that understand what it's like to run a business!

Hope and change are coming!

The list of incumbents not seeking reelection continues to grow as the November elections get nearer. A large number of incumbents who are seeking reelection are facing a tough battle to keep their jobs when voters will most likely be looking to clean house. This is great news for Americans. Hope and change is coming in November. Buy undervalued stocks now because a rally will surely follow the landslide in November when business friendly politicians get elected to replace the anti business ones that have been killing our economy.

Pay as you go.

President Obama signs pay as you go legislation. Translation: We pay more taxes so he can go on spending more money.

Patrick Kennedy is a joke!

Patrick Kennedy's decision not to seek re-election will leave Washington without a Kennedy in political office for the first time in more than 60 years. The decision comes less than a month after a stunning upset by Republican Scott Brown in the race for the Massachusetts Senate seat his father held for almost half a century. Last week, as Brown was sworn into the seat, Patrick Kennedy called Brown's candidacy a "joke" and predicted Brown would betray his union supporters. I'm proud of Massachusetts for electing someone who truly represents the people and not a corrupt self serving politician like Patrick Kennedy. I think he's just upset because he didn't run for his fathers seat and will probably dedicate his life to making Scott Brown look bad so he can take back the Kennedy seat in the next election. It's a joke that Patrick Kennedy didn't get thrown out of office already. He's such a whining little weasel. Someone needs to slap him.

Take time to be a dad.

Barack Obama lecturing dads to take time to be a dad is something any reasonable person should question. He seems to spend a lot of time doing public service announcements including one that asks dads to spend time with their kids. I'm sure any decent father would spend time with their kids without being told. It's also a little bit ironic that a father who has a job that requires him to be available 24/7, a father who travels the country campaigning for himself and numerous others, a father who spends a lot of time doing public service announcements, a father who has the time to travel the world promoting world peace, a father who has the time to promote himself in our schools and brainwash our children is probably a father who should practice what he preaches and take the time to be a dad.
